What is this thing called "clay" ? We walk upon it, play with it as children, build with it and some create with it. A balanced combination of minerals and water is what the potter looks for in "good" clay, one that allows the freedom to realize the designs of mind and spirit to unite into one. Application of time circulating about the piece in the form of air prepares the work for it's final journey from the potter's studio, what I call "trial by fire".

This is the air that combines with fuel to force the constituent elements in the clay to melt and fuse into something that is as permanent as anything man has ever made (as evidenced by archeology) that remain long after the potter has passed from the scene. When someone purchases my work, I know that a little piece of me is going with them. They will always have that when they look at, or more importantly use my work as it is a moment of time captured by my hands and frozen in fire for all to enjoy. Thank you for visiting my website.
